Thornton joins Chicago Fire Academy as assistant coach of the U-18 Academy squad alongside head coach Sammy Castellanos. Thornton comes to Chicago from Michigan Wolves, which he joined in 2017 and most recently he held the position of MLS NEXT Technical Director. Thornton holds a USSF National “A” Youth Coaching License.
